About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Note
Mariachi Depot was established to support the growing mariachi community in Las Vegas. Shortly after opening our doors, we realized that other states shared similar needs, so we now ship to the contiguous United States.

At Mariachi Depot, we not only specialize in serving school Mariachi Directors by providing custom-made trajes and moños tailored to their school colors and logos, but also individuals in need of a traje charro for a wedding or a special event. Alongside we offer camisolas, hair bows, earrings, belts, and more.

We offer high-quality instruments at affordable prices. Our guitars, vihuelas, and guitarrones are crafted to our specifications in Paracho, Michoacán, and Baja California, Mexico. Additionally, our violins are custom-made for us in Romania and China. At our store, our luthiers meticulously set up each violin specifically for mariachi, ensuring it meets our standards for sound quality and playability before we make it available for sale in our showroom.

We accept purchase orders from school districts and work with 30-day net terms. With a large inventory on hand, most of our products are ready for immediate shipment or can be picked up at our store. Please note that custom-made trajes or personalized moños may take up to two months to complete.

Our staff is ready to assist you in selecting products that best meet your needs. We guarantee quality and satisfaction with every purchase, and we look forward to working with you.

Our Story
Mariachi Depot was thoughtfully established in September 2022 by Claudia Rivera and Juan Soto, who were fortunate to receive support from their families.

Claudia Rivera possesses a rich background in business management, complemented by her dedication to various community groups and nonprofit organizations aimed at enhancing the welfare of the community. She has successfully founded several businesses and serves as the Founder and General Manager of Mariachi Depot, where her leadership continues to make a positive impact.

Juan Soto brings a wealth of expertise in instrument repair and restoration, having trained under the esteemed Robert Cauer in Los Angeles. He has had the privilege of working on some of the most celebrated instruments in history, including those crafted by Stradivari, Guarneri, Tourte, and Sartory. Many distinguished soloists and musicians from prominent orchestras place their trust in Juan's exceptional skills with their cherished instruments and bows. Following a successful 23-year tenure with Cauer, in 2010, Juan made the exciting decision to move to Las Vegas to establish his own shop.

Born in Las Vegas, Julio Velez was introduced to music at a young age by actively participating in his church choir.
After graduating from high school, he traveled to Big Rapids, Michigan, to study at the Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair. There, he fulfilled the requirements of their Master Class, and earned the title of Certified Practicing Luthier, as well as a Certificate in Fretted Instrument Repair Technology.
Upon returning to Las Vegas, Julio worked briefly for a large guitar company. However, in 2017 he applied for a position as a violin repair technician at Soto Violins (now known as Mariachi Depot). This opportunity allowed him to continue refining his skills while also learning new techniques. Outside of his growing career, he remains involved with music, with the guitar and bass playing a big part of his daily life.
